This article proposes a simplified method for determining the elastic radius ratio of multi-storey reinforced concrete building. The is benchmark parameter buildings in torsional stability during an earthquake. When are torsionally flexible, component seismic response amplifies overall Because numbers assumptions such as adoption single-storey model, much published articles have very limited range application. Quantifying interaction different forces multi-story non-proportional has been main challenge these studies. proposed “shear and bending combination method” solves this by introducing parameters that can determine relative influence individual actions. Moreover, applies to with all type structural systems, having asymmetry, accidental eccentricity. validated through parametric study consisting eighty-one building models using computer analysis. research findings useful building, verifying results computer-based analysis, optimizing system buildings.
